Members of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church bear witness to the gospel message of Jesus Christ by bringing the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-12) to life through worshipparish fellowship, and involvement in our local community.

In Your Kingdom remember us, O Lord, when You come in Your Kingdom.
God is with us! Holy Trinity Church is about actively living Christian lives for the salvation of the world. The work before us is never really finished, but it’s also never done alone. The struggles and accomplishments we encounter every day should be seen in light of the reminder that Christ is in our midst, and He ever shall be.

Like a wise mother, the church provides the support and love necessary for our journey through life.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
The care and love of others was a founding tenet of the early Christians as seen in the Book of Acts, and our parish continues this important ministry role of the church through a variety of outreach efforts with food banks, homeless shelterscaring for the illagedunemployed, and always praying for those in need on Long Island.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Orthodoxy is often perceived as ‘ancient’ because the teachings of the church are seen to be at odds with modern society. But in a world where instant gratification and lightning-fast news coverage attempt to satisfy our needs, the timeless beliefs of the church – grounded in sacred scripture – provide a stable foundation for living through all times, both turbulent or prosperous.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
A good education is necessary to succeed in today’s society and our church believes that the teachings of the Church can have a positive impact on 21st century North America. The education of members of all ages begins with a commitment to care for others, the environment, and the formation of our children.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
At the heart of every Orthodox parish are divine services which bring the community together to worship and praise God. Evening services on Saturdays and morning liturgies on Sunday are celebrated at Holy Trinity
Church, along with other annual commemorations of events in the life of Christ, His church, and the saints.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
The easiest way to learn what Orthodox Christians believe is by listening to the hymns sung during divine services. Set to a mixture of ancient and modern chant melodies, the sung texts share the experiences and historical accounts of those who have gone before us who, having lived Christian lives now serve as the inspiration for our own efforts to be the children of God.

Blessed are you when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.
Being Christians today is definitely a struggle. And while the church provides the spiritual resources to understand scripture and the support to live moral lives, it also offers the love and support of a safe haven in a society often filled with dissatisfaction and disappointment.

Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven.
Members of Holy Trinity Church come from all walks of life, and our individual experiences collectively create a new and vibrant community, founded in Christ. While journeying through life, the praises of our worship coupled
with the joys of our fellowship strengthens our commitment in the service to others.

Christ made the ultimate sacrifice once for all of us, and through the church, we live in anticipation of the heavenly banquet in the world to come.
