We are the guardians of God’s Creation

In addition to conserving energy, recycling paper, metal and glass on a household level, Holy Trinity Church encourages its members and friends to expand their contribution to preserving the earth.

Our recycling campaign focuses on two products:

Cellular phones
Recycling and reusing phones is a simple way to conserve the environment. Cell phones contain toxic metals that can pollute the environment and threaten human health. When recycled responsibly, the metals can be put back into circulation, decreasing the need for new metal mining. Cell phones in working condition can be shipped off to third world nations. According to the United Nations, communication is a key driver of quality of life, second only to healthcare.

Eyeglasses
According to the World Health Organization, approximately 25 percent of the world's population needs eyeglasses. You can help a person in need by donating glasses you no longer use.

In addition to keeping these items out of the landfill, they will be put to reuse, in helping those less fortunate.

Please bring in your old cell phones and no-longer used eyeglasses and place them in the appropriate containers in the Church Hall. Let's do our part as good stewards of God's world.
