Members of Holy Trinity are aware of the needs of those in the local community, and for past few years have looked for ways to assist others. One particular way is the creation of an annual open house held on the parish grounds.

The concept of our open house is to create a setting where members of our local community can discover Orthodox Christianity through interactive tours and prayer services - including a memorial service for the victims of 9/11 - information about the programs and organizations of Holy Trinity including parish Church School program and Sisterhood organization are also available, and delicious food prepared by parishioners is available with fellowship activities for people of all ages.

In addition to 'getting to know each other,' the open house also provides an opportunity for residents to take advantage of local health services and community service organizations which are invited to use our open house as an occasion to provide examples of their services and resources in booths.

This service-oriented approach is in line with the teachings of the Orthodox Church to welcome guests into our community and meet their needs first.

The day’s events will feature a variety of activities in five categories: Worship, Education, Food, Games, and Resources and Assistance Programs, all located at our parish, 369 Green Avenue, East Meadow, NY.

Plans for the 2012 event will be announced in late spring 2012.
